Alex is a political consultant with over ten years experience in elections and commercial campaigns.
He was part of the teams that got Boris Johnson elected as London Mayor in 2008 and 2012, also winning the Conservative leadership campaign in 2019 which saw Boris elected as Prime Minister.
He served as an adviser to Boris in City Hall and Downing Street.
He’s run commercial campaigns in property, energy and aviation, with extensive experience of digital campaigns and media management.
His focus is on campaigns that mobilise public support in order to effect political action and/or change.
Alex Crowley
Founding Director
Wyn has over twenty-five years’ experience of working in political campaigning and corporate communications, predominantly on high profile property and infrastructure projects.
He founded and built up Forty Shillings, one of the UK’s leading property and planning communications agencies, working with for developers, investors, airport operators and local authorities. He has worked for a diverse range of private and public sector clients including Legal & General, John Lewis/Waitrose and Berkeley.

Cherry is an experienced social media consultant. She has a proven record of running innovative political campaigns and advising charities, think-tanks, and small businesses on effective digital strategies to meet their strategic objectives and drive real change.
She is a former national newspaper journalist with over 10 years’ experience on Fleet Street. She worked in London for The Sunday Times and The Independent in Home news, Health, and Social Affairs, before becoming Foreign Correspondent in Japan for The Sunday Times.

For the last 15 years Michael has been supporting businesses and organisations to win new business, mobilise public support, scale or transform their customer journey, and understand their audiences through best practice opinion polling.
Michael has extensive experience building campaign teams and infrastructure. Most recently was a 100-person team from scratch for a biotech start-up. This included the hiring of all staff, management processes and implementation of all required software and systems.
Michael co-founded a polling company which runs regular message testing research and is accredited by the British Polling Council.
Michael’s role at Shared Voice is to oversee ‘our hard-to-reach audience’ campaigns. This includes the technical infrastructure, delivery processes, staffing, and commercial viability of these projects.

John Smith

Melissa spent five years as the corporate communications manager for Hammerson, a publicly listed FTSE 250 with a multi-billion-pound portfolio of real estate assets across the UK and Europe including Brent Cross, Bullring Birmingham and Bicester Village.
This in-house role included managing the group’s internal and external stakeholders, agencies, press opportunities and managing all corporate digital channels. She also led on PR and public affairs for the group’s development pipeline.
Melissa is currently seconded part-time to London Biggin Hill as head of communications and is responsible for both the airport’s external and internal communications.
Melissa Flight
Director
Millie is an experienced communications and campaigns manager, driving campaign execution and delivery across a range of social media platforms as well leading targeted digital marketing strategies for improving customer engagement using CRM tools.
After graduating from Southampton University with a degree in Politics and International Relations. Millie worked for the Civil service in a community engagement role improving knowledge and access to government digital services, primarily among disadvantaged groups. She joined Shared Voice in January 2022 to focus on campaigns with a social purpose.
Millie Dodd
Senior Communications and Marketing Manager
Katie’s role at Shared Voice is to manage our inhouse engagement team and staff accounts. This involves running our engagement with ‘hard to reach’ audiences for our message testing, focus group, and marketing campaigns.
Katie has extensive experience in managing outreach campaigns, having expanded her skills in Market Research, Non-Profit Organisations and Law. During this time Katie developed her skills in operations management. Recently achieving Level 7 in Operations Management with Inspire London College.
Katie Flynn
Senior Operations Manager
Rupert Browne (Account Manager) plays a key role in supporting clients through both pre-application and post-submission PR activities and is currently working on a number of projects across southern England, London and the Midlands.
Prior to joining Shared Voice, Rupert was an experienced political campaigner having worked for the cross-party campaign group Best for Britain and for the Alliance Party of Northern Ireland. He has also worked on political campaigns in the US including presidential campaigns in Iowa and Florida.

Alex Balkan (Account Manager) is experienced in local community and political communications, previously serving as a Runnymede Borough Councillor and in campaign management roles. As a councillor Alex served 2 years on the planning committee and chairman of two council working groups.
Alex enjoys understanding, trust-building and working with communities, and running multifaced campaigns which seek to solve important local to national issues. Alex joined Shared Voice to make a career out his passion and hobby.
Alex studied MSc Public Policy at the University of Reading, and BA Politics, International Relations & Philosophy at Royal Holloway. Alex also worked in sales, administrative, internal communications, and community wellbeing roles.

Erin provides support on a variety of projects across the country including M&S and Solum, a partnership between Kier Property and Network Rail. Prior to this, Erin graduated from Nottingham Business School with a degree in Business Management and Marketing, where she also gained experience in corporate communications and digital marketing.
Erin also holds a Level 5 certificate in Management and Leadership from the Chartered Management Institute (CMI).
Erin Futter
Account Executive
Kay has experience in recruitment, IT, Cyber Security, HR, finance and payroll. She ensures the office runs smoothly implementing best practice, policies and procedures.
Before joining Shared Voice, Kay previously worked in advertising for the WPP Group assisting a Group MD responsible for the P&G portfolio. At WPP, Kay helped manage the team, organising everything from international conferences to team building exercises.
