Following sustained client wins, Shared Voice is looking to recruit a new Account Director and a new Account Manager/Senior Account Manager.

Based at our new offices in Vauxhall, London, you will be tasked with delivering the work that is transforming community engagement in the built environment sector.

Shared Voice has been described as the biggest disruptors in property and planning.  We are the team behind Just Build Homes – the only service which connects supporters of housebuilding with the planning process.

We are looking for dynamic, ambitious individuals who believe the traditional engagement model is broken and needs a massive shake up.

We are interested in people who can drive programmes and processes in working with clients to deliver strategic, creative and impactful campaigns that have measurable outcomes. We are not interested in people who might know some Councillors or MPs.

We are recruiting for a new Account Director and a new Account Manager/Senior Account Manager.

Job Title: Account Director

Location: Vauxhall

Salary: £55,000 – £75,000 based on experience

Length of Contract: Permanent

 

Job Overview:

As an Account Director, you will take a management role over the accounts and the team delivering client projects in the built environment sector. You will have a track record of at least seven years experience in this sector with at least two years in a similar role.

You will be responsible for managing team members, ensuring successful project outcomes. A key aspect of this role will be to own and develop managerial processes to drive the performance of the team and improve delivery of our unique offer. You will be able to demonstrate tangible examples of having delivered improved processes and driven outcomes, as part of your experience.

This role also involves offering senior counsel to clients, identifying growth opportunities within existing accounts, and contributing to new business development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Account Management: Lead the account management team in the residential, energy and commercial property sector.
  • Client Relations: Act as the senior point of contact for clients, providing expert counsel. Act at all times to develop and deepen the relationship with the client and identify strategic growth opportunities for each account.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor team members, design and implement delivery processes, drive performance and provide training and feedback to ensure high standards of client service.
  • New Business Development: Support the founders in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, contributing to pitches and proposals.
  • Reporting & Evaluation: Produce reports on team performance, providing insights and recommendations to founders based on clear metrics and client feedback.

Salary Range: £38,000 – £55,000 based on experience

Job Overview:

As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for delivering projects independently for our clients in the built environment sectors, including managing junior team members. You will have a track record of at least four years experience in this sector, with at least one year in this role previously.

You will be able to demonstrate tangible examples of having independently delivered successful client outcomes, as part of your experience.

This role also involves regular liaison with clients and their project teams, identifying growth opportunities within existing accounts, and contributing to new business development.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Account Management: Manage multiple client accounts, responsible for the full execution of projects for clients in the built environment sector, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and deliver clear outcomes. Oversee junior team members (Account Executives, Interns), delegating tasks, and ensuring campaigns are running smoothly.
  • Client Relations: Act as the primary point of contact for clients and their project teams, developing and deepening the relationships and identifying further commercial opportunities for each account.
  • New Business Development: Contribute to wider business development projects.
  • Reporting & Evaluation: Produce reports on project performance, providing insights and recommendations to Directors and Founders based on clear metrics and client feedback.
